Welcome to the Prairieland Romance Writers website. Located in central
Nebraska, we serve as a regional chapter of
RWA, with members coming
from all over the state, and occasionally across the country, to join us
at chapter meetings and online loops and events. PRW offers a unique
experience to aspiring writers of romance and women’s fiction. We’re a
small chapter, averaging around 15 members, and can offer friendships,
critique and brainstorming opportunities, workshops and roundtable
discussions that allow for every voice and question to be heard. Yet,
the majority of our authors are published in romance fiction, women’s
fiction, non-fiction and more, so there is a wide range of expertise and
mentorship available to new and almost published writers in addition to
networking with authors who share a similar publishing experience. Our
members pursue a variety of writing, from romantic suspense to cozy
mysteries, from erotic to inspirational romance, from historical to
contemporary writing. We can boast many award winners and contest
finalists, including the RITA, the National Readers Choice Award, the
Daphne du Maurier, the Maggie and the Golden Heart. Some of our authors
have over a million copies of their books in print, while others are
celebrating their first release or the completion of a first manuscript.
So
much variety. So much talent and support and expertise. So much
